Raynaud's Awareness Month: Finding Calm in the Chill

October is Raynaud’s Awareness Month, a time to shine light on a condition that affects millions of people but often goes unnoticed. For those living with Raynaud’s, everyday tasks in colder weather can feel overwhelming.

What is Raynaud’s?

Raynaud’s is an autoimmune condition that impacts blood circulation, especially in the hands and feet. During colder months or even sudden stress, the small blood vessels narrow more than they should, cutting off normal blood flow. This can cause skin to turn white, then blue, and finally red as circulation returns — often accompanied by numbness, tingling, or pain.

Living with Raynaud’s

I was diagnosed in 2014, and it completely changed how I experience colder seasons. Simple things like holding a cold drink, going for a walk in the morning, or even standing near a drafty door can trigger flare-ups. It’s more than just “cold hands” — it’s a daily challenge that affects comfort and wellbeing.

Awareness Matters

Because Raynaud’s is often invisible until a flare happens, many people don’t realize how serious or painful it can be. By sharing stories and spreading awareness, we remind others that autoimmune conditions deserve understanding, compassion, and more research.

Finding Relief Naturally

One of the ways I’ve found comfort is through herbal support. That’s what inspired me to create my Calm the Chill Balm 🌿❄️. Made with circulation-supporting herbs and oils, it helps warm and soothe cold, aching hands and feet. It’s become a staple in my daily routine during the fall and winter months — something that truly makes life with Raynaud’s a little easier.

How You Can Help

Learn the signs of Raynaud’s and share them with others.

Support loved ones who live with autoimmune conditions.

Keep spreading awareness — every voice matters.

Living with Raynaud’s isn’t always easy, but together we can bring more awareness and compassion to those who need it most. And if you or someone you love struggles with cold, painful flare-ups, know there are natural ways to find comfort.

💙 Stay warm, stay kind, and let’s spread awareness this October.
